GUIDANCE on “WHAT AM I?”
INTRODUCTION to LESSONS 351 to 360

TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: The Course text is in bold face.  The Guidance is in normal type   

In His Guidance, He has asked Me to capitalize the pronouns You and We as an acknowledgement of the Divinity of All of Us, an acknowledgement of Equality, an expression of His Love and respect for You.  

When You see the word ‘YOU’  capitalized in the Guidance, know that He is not just speaking to YOU, He is honoring YOU.   

I am God’s Son, complete and healed and whole, shining in the reflection of His Love.   

Two little words changed gives wonderful understanding of what is the Son of God You are and of Your relationship with the Father-Mother.

What words are this these make such a difference? Listen carefully.

I am God’s Son, complete and healed and whole, shining AS the PRESENCE of His Love.

In me is His creation sanctified and guaranteed eternal life. In me is love perfected, fear impossible, and joy established without opposite.  

If the ego’s ‘You’ had to do this on ‘Your own’, a daunting job is it indeed! Yet this is not a request but rather a statement of fact. And for One to resist it or deny it would simply be ego defense of false humility.

I am the holy home of God Himself.  

These statements are the Truth of You, the Son. The Son has no gender, for God has not made two types of Son, one so-called ‘male’ and the other ‘female’. These are ego inventions for the purposes of various subjugations. My accommodations are simply to clarify: One is not ‘better’ than Another.

The Truth is: We are All the Son. There is no ‘male’ nor ‘female’.

All of Us are, indeed, the very Presence of Our God, Belovèd Source of All.  

I am the Heaven where His Love resides.  

Once more, here We see that Heaven’s not a ‘place’ at all, but a state of Consciousness.

I am His holy sinlessness itself, for in my purity abides His own.

How could One ‘sin’ when God is All of Us? And yet We see sin everywhere We look. And this is not about a blind eye to it, but rather sin’s unreality; along with the unreality of the entire dream.

² Our use for words is almost over now. Yet in the final days of this one year we gave to God together, you and I, we found a single purpose that we shared.

And it has been the joy of giving, a purpose that You will find eternally. It is the Truth of All Reality.

And thus you joined with me. So what I am are you as well. The truth of what we are is not for words to speak of nor describe.

Can words be used to describe the Natures Infinite of Love, or Life?  The understanding does come in the willingness to BE Them.

Yet we can realize our function here, and words can speak of this and teach it, too, if we exemplify the words in us.

To start with literally living Love is the key to Life that is only Living.  You are never born and never dying, and this is the Truth right here and right now.

³ We are the bringers of salvation. We accept our part as saviors of the world, which through our joint forgiveness is redeemed.

What is this word “salvation”?  What’s it mean?  Redemption of a sinner miserable and undeserving?  That’s not You!  That’s not any One of You! 

Salvation is but the expression of Life, Truth and Love, All lived and shared each moment, as Your very Be-ing ‘in the world’.

The world has need of Your Life, Truth and Love.  And it but waits on You to give Your Gifts.

And this, our gift, is therefore given us.

How else can Gifts as These, so wonderful, be experienced but in the Living of each one of Them?

Speak not of Love, but BE It.  Speak not of Life Eternal, just live It!  Don’t prattle about the Truth, Be Its Living Example!

We look on everyone as brothers and perceive all things as kindly and as good. We do not seek a function that is past the gates of Heaven.

Nice words these are indeed, yet, how do You live them?  You do know the answer: Today I will make no decisions by Myself.

Speak not Your words, but the Holy Spirit’s.  For when You let Her (or Him if You wish) hear and see for You, then will the words of Love come forth so very naturally.  Just as they now pour forth as Me to You.  The Holy Spirit that I am communicates through to Holy Spirit You are.  And We All are this One Holy Spirit.

Knowledge will return when we have done our part. We are concerned only with giving welcome to the truth.

Just Be that Living Love and watch Your consciousness unfold and flower as the gardens of Your kindness spring up all over.

⁴ Ours are the eyes through which Christ’s vision sees a world redeemed from every thought of sin.

Ask Me what is really there, hidden by the dream of sin.  Be still and listen.  I will gladly tell You!

Ours are the ears that hear the Voice of God proclaim the world as sinless. We hear His Mind Divine ever expressing to Us: Here is ever Good!

Ours the minds which join together as we bless the world. – All things of which God is Aware must be Holy.  God Knows Good only.

And from the oneness that we have attained we call to all our brothers, asking them to share our peace and consummate our joy. 

This consummation is the Weddedness Divine of All the Sonship and All the Universe as well.

⁵ We are the holy messengers of God who speak for Him, and carrying His Word to everyone whom He has sent to us, we learn that it is written on our hearts.  

Having really learned the Truth and thus becoming It as well, We joyously do share this Love with Every One!

And thus our minds are changed about the aim for which we came and which we seek to serve.

We are no longer here for getting, but for giving, and Our happiness has now become Our Be-ing.  For getting is insatiable and never satisfied, while giving Gifts but Joy.

We bring glad tidings to the Son of God, who thought he suffered. Now is he redeemed. And as he sees the gate of Heaven stand open before him, he will enter in and disappear into the Heart of God.

The discontent and suffering which had attended His existence for the eons of the dream have ended, and the Life which is Joy has again begun for Us.  Let Us with Our Joy share this great Heart Of God, this endless Love, until All Our Brothers have Awakened!

GUIDANCE ON LOVE

~*~

JESUS: I want to talk briefly on what happens when You deny Your love to everyone.  Now what I am meaning here is not that You aren’t loving anyone, but that You are not loving Every One. 

 

Why am I saying that?  You know I can hear Your thinking!  You’re wondering how anyone could Love Every One.  You know, all those unlovable people, peopling the earth.  Who could Love any of them, much less all of them?  Does the Course really say that?  Isn’t it about turning a special relationship into a Holy Relationship?

 

Well, let’s look at Love.  Love is what God is.  God doesn’t have Love.  God is Love.  God is Living Love, for Love is not a static thing, but ever-living, ever-growing, resting on and blessing the entire Universe. 

 

Take a moment here, to picture Your Love – Your eternal Gift from God – flowing from You like a easy, even breath, embracing gently all Ideas It meets.  They know not what It is that loosens all their cares, binds up their broken heart, lessens relentless fear.  They just know, inexplicably, that They feel much better.

 

Like the bird with broken wing of which I’ve spoken, that begins to sing again and finds its wing unbroken- like to that bird are those touched by Your gentle breath of Love, that feels so comforting to them as it feeds a hunger they didn’t know they had.

 

Would You not Love like this, so indiscriminately, so recklessly, so joyously!  And as You learn to do this for those unseen and unknown to You, then can You begin to practice with those closer to You. 

 

This is the Love that You really are.  The Love that You are to give Your Brother indiscriminately.  And in the measure that the Holy Spirit tells You that Your Brother needs it.  For The Holy Spirit is gladly Guiding You in this wonderful endeavor.

 

You have thought before that Love was give-and-take, one hand washing the other.  Something that would get You something.  That isn’t Love.  Love is Something that You give, Guided by My words: Freely You have received, freely give.  My words from 2000 years ago

 

And I do mean freely, with no strings attached.  Let loving become as natural and as easy to You as Your breathing.  And as Your Love grows, embracing All, just so, Your Joy grows.  And there is no limit to its breadth and depth and height, for Love brings You Infinity and happiness right where You are.

GUIDANCE ON AWAKENING

~*~

I’d like to talk on real rehabilitation, which is to Awaken.  Let’s start with these words from the Course:

“I must have decided wrongly because I am NOT at peace.

I made the decision myself, but I can also decide otherwise.

I WILL to decide otherwise because I WANT to be at peace.

I do NOT feel guilty because the Holy Spirit will undo all

the consequences of my wrong decision IF I WILL LET HIM.

I WILL to let Him by allowing Him to decide for God for Me.”

Let’s go back to the place where You made the decision.   Now this Course passage is referring to the second sleep, the one within the sleeping of the dream of separation.  However, the words are applicable to both and to the point I’m wanting to make to You:

“How you wake is the sign of how you have used sleep. To whom did You give it? Under which teacher did you place it? Whenever you wake dispiritedly, it was not of the Holy Spirit. Only when You awaken joyously have you utilized sleep according to the Holy Spirit’s purpose.”

So at the time of separation, Your Holy Mind – the one that is one with God – no longer cared to listen to Him, and that willfulness seem to create a whole new teacher, which We have called the ego.  It was a faulty choice, and that is where the correction must be made.

And yet, there is no need to look to the past.  For We may start from the realization that there is no time, so now is always when it happens.

You must learn to take the past and bring it to the Now, for only Now can it be healed.

So let us speak Now, for a moment, of ex-spouses. For Sun~Rose You saw it yesterday in looking for something through old papers, things that were written before You had Your healing seemed to catapult You back into long past aggravation.  A perfect example of what happens when You live in the past. You recreate a thing that never happened to begin with. And even if You do believe it happened, it’s not happening now; so just drop it!

And this is what You did yesterday, and it left You free until I mentioned it this morning. So You may see the supreme importance of dwelling in the Present.

How long will You let the Christ be hidden by these foolish ruminations about the past or future, those imaginary places are where the ego dwells? If You would be free You need to quit them. The Holy Spirit calls You gently saying: “Come be with Me Now My dearest Sisters and My dearest Brothers.  Let Us be the Place of Love for everyone where We may dwell happily forever.”

“Not so!” The ego thunders. “All the wrongs against me must be righted, for God is useless when it comes to wreaking vengeance even though He promised to within the Bible. So I, the ego, will take up the great crusade. And We will change the statement to: “Vengeance is mine! Saith the ego.”

Oh yes, the ego is a tricky fellow. Listen to it, and You won’t feel mellow (guess who Guided Ogden Nash?).

So once again We come to My favorite dictum……

“Would You be this?” How often must I say it?  For daily, moment by moment, do I but offer possibilities of the Holy Instant with the words You know so well:  Brother, choose again.  Sister, choose again, and this time choose God.  You know, God has already chosen You. And who will march in His crusade, if it isn’t You?

When all Your days are given to the ego’s business, how is this to be done?  Why, oh so simply, as You do whatever You are doing, Joined with Me as One.

For the moment that We Join now have You become as One with Holy Spirit, which is Your Right Mind as well as Mine; as You and I but do His bidding and Join with one another. And Us, together, We stand for unity and not for separation.

And in that stance – and in that willing stance – is open possibility for endless dreaming brothers. For minds are Joined, and so Your willingness radiates out to all the Universe.

And those already Joined rejoice at Your new connection – at Your new permanent connection – for sporadic does not get You in the Kingdom with the always frequency that’s needed.

You may think I’m asking way too much of You, and yet I’m not, unless You think that You could have too much of Heaven.

Trust Me sisters, trust Me brothers, Heaven is the one addiction that brings endless blessings. Could You be too happy?  Could You have too much Peace?  Could You but give and receive too much Love?  Not when You once again remember what Love and Peace and Happiness are like as the Consciousness of Heaven.

And realize that You have spent endless dreams searching for Heaven’s Peace and Happiness and Love. For never have the ego versions (of happiness and peace and love) given any lasting satisfaction.

For nothing lasts within the dream but its pretense to mimic Heaven as You pass from dream to dream, that one attempt is constant.

Why would You settle with a useless substitute for Reality, when Heaven stands available to You?  And not a heaven that You need to die to get to.  For the Father’s Gifts to You are but Life, Truth and Love.

The two of You can surely see the vast importance of Joining, for there is nothing else that is so crucial.  It is the one way to Awaken.  For how else could You forgive the endless ‘crimes’ of the ego but in understanding that they are unreal. There is nothing going on while You go Your way alone and solitary, deep in ego dreams.

Existence only functions as a Whole.  Not one thing that You think You’ve done alone has any meaning.  So all the words that hve been spoken, and all the words that have been written, in this endless dreaming, if they were spoke and writ alone they are but gibberish that has not any meaning.

One gentle word or gentle touch, flowing from Our Union, can heal the Universe.

Do You understand how total is the commitment that I am demanding?

Now You need to implement it.  And it is no task for You are not doing it alone.

Just reach out for Me and I will help You.

GUIDANCE ON LESSON 245

YOUR PEACE IS WITH ME, FATHER. I AM SAFE.

~*~

Your Peace is with Me, Father.  I am safe.

For where Your Peace is there must You be as well.  And I am coming to understand that What You are, I am, also, as well.  Like Father, like Son; so the saying goes.  In the dream this may vary, yet not so as Reality. The Father and the Son – God and Us All – are inseparable.

¹ Your peace surrounds me, Father. Where I go, Your peace goes there with me. It sheds its light on everyone I meet. I bring it to the desolate and lonely and afraid.

The more I turn to You for every need I have, the more I find Myself to want and need only You.  That is Peace indeed.  Peace is then becoming What I am, and is, therefore, a Gift that I can give to All My Brothers and My Sisters, Who can then return It to Me as the joyous circle dance of giving as receiving.

As each and every One of Us is giving, so does the whole Universe receive and then return the Gift right back to All.  Sometimes the dance is like a polka or a hora, other times a stately waltz. The rhythms ever shift in joyous creativity, yet always in a glorious harmony.

Reality is not static, nor is it frenetic, for the Movement is lovely to both behold and experience.

I give Your peace to those who suffer pain or grieve for loss or think they are bereft of hope and happiness. Send Them to me, my Father. Let me bring Your peace with me. For I would save Your Son as is Your Will that I may come to recognize my Self.

While They may come in sorrow and despair, yet will They go on Their way with songs of Joy that You give Me to sing to Them to heal all Their pain, turn Their “mourning into dancing” once again.

For the Son of God is so like to the Father-Mother that it is simply a matter of degree.  The Father-Mother is the whole shebang; the
Son the individualized expression.  And All is Infinite, no break nor limit anywhere, the seamless garment of the Life that’s God.

² And so we go in peace. To all the world we give the message that we have received. And thus we come to hear the Voice of God, Who speaks to us as we relate His Word, Whose Love we recognize because we share the Word that He has given unto us.

And what Joy accompanies that Peace that You are given, as It becomes Who and What You are.  Peace and Its Sister Love shine as You, and Your Brother and Your Sister see Themselves glowing as that Light as well.

The dream is over for Who would not accept the happiness of Waking as Eternal Light Itself.  Allow the Freedom of this Real Joy to be remembered as Love to Your Self re-introduces You.

Come dance with Me to the Song of Eternal Love so long forgotten, for now are You remembering. Let Us all recall now how very much We Love Each Other.

GUIDANCE ON THE HOLY SPIRIT

PREP NOTES FOR YOUR REUNION With THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is one of My favorite subjects, as It pertains to Who and What You really are.  This particular Guidance has to do with learning more than just feeling uplifted as You read it.  It is up to You to do the Joining and the Listening required.

I’d like to start out with a little song that the Holy Spirit and I suggested to Sun~Rose for any trying time.  It is sung to the tune of Gracious Spirit Dwell With Me, and it speaks the Truth of the Holy Spirit and All of You.

Holy Spirit dwell as Me.

I Myself am One as Thee.

And Your words that help and heal,

As Myself You do reveal.

This song may also be sung with ‘We’ or ‘She’ or ‘He’ or ‘Thee’, depending on Who is needing not just healing, but Whole-ing.  For the Holy Spirit is the Rest of You, without Whom You are incomplete.  As You all have searched for eons for the ‘perfect (special) relationship’, it has truly always been the Holy Spirit You were seeking.What a joy to relax and find that out so that if You have a special relationship (or many of them), now Each of You can concentrate on the Holy Spirit and actually open the door to a Holy relationship.  Not yet though!First You will learn the joy of re-acquaintance with the Holy Spirit, Your Self, a Self so lovely, so wonderful, so full of Life and Love and happiness, so gentle and so kind, that You will begin to understand what Love really is and that Love is what You are, Your very Substance, rather than the ‘material’ person You have thought Yourself to be.

Let’s go back to the song, for those four lines can change Your old mindset about Yourself if You will allow it.

“Holy Spirit dwell as Me”:  Well, what does this mean?  You aren’t asking here for the Holy Spirit to come into a material You – a human being – and be a part of You, thereby allowing You to continue holding on to Your so-called ‘human’ personality and opinions, et cetera, all the tools of the separation.

This is not asking the Holy Spirit to dwell in You.  It says: “Holy Spirit dwell as Me.”  This is a humble, sincere request for the Holy Spirit to actually Be You, without reserving room for the personality, the entire persona You have created to separate You from God and the Rest of Yourself: the Holy Spirit.

It is a request, an allowing for the Holy Spirit to Be You once again, the Real You, the You of God, rather than the little y you of the ego.

You will notice that I always address You as the capital Y You of God, acknowledging both Our equality and Your Divinity.

You have been hiding from Your Divinity so long that this may seem incomprehensible; yet Divine You are for You are of God.  And the entire separation has been about denying and hiding that fact.  The Holy Spirit is the Real of You, kept safe by God while You have played foolish, painful games for eons.

You have hidden from the peace and joy of Reality, fruitlessly looking for these things in empty, painful dreams.  The Holy Spirit has ever stood waiting for Your calls for help.

“Holy Spirit dwell as Me.”  ‘Holy Spirit I think I’m ready for You to take over, to Be Me.  I’ve done such a terrible job, and I’m so tired.

And I don’t want to ‘die’ and be ‘born’ again only to experience more pain.  So do You mind actually Be-ing Me, instead of something I make up, and so ineptly at that.’

That realization and then request is the first step.  For if You feel that You have some ‘life’ left in You yet, for being an ego, You will not give up control enough to remember to even consult the Holy Spirit regularly, much less moment by moment.

If You will trust Me here, as Your Elder Brother, I will promise You that never will You find happiness from the ego mindset, for it is pure selfishness.  And selfishness is misery for All of Us are One.  And until the mind is changed from ‘Me’ to ‘We’ selfishness continues.

Let Us go to the next line of the little song: “I Myself am One as Thee.”  Notice again that it does not say “One with Thee” alloiwing You to retain the so-called ego identity.  You are becoming willing, allowing Yourself to let the Holy Spirit Be You.  I cannot say this too often: the Holy Spirit is not a tool for You to use when You are in trouble, when You need help, when everything’s a mess.  Avoid the mess!

Let the Holy Spirit Be You all the time.

How do You do this?  Well, I would like to blithely say: just make the choice and do it.  And as Sun~Rose can tell You, the ego is more determined to keep control than You may have realized.  She has been using the Gymboss little sequential timer that goes off with a buzz, automatically, almost 200 times before needing resetting.  It is helping Her to remember to check in with Me and the Holy Spirit.  While this may sound unnecessary to You, the point is: Do what works!  And be committed.

And trust whatever You are hearing in these small minute-by-minute instructions from the Holy Spirit, for here is where You are making a real connection in uniting in the minutiae of Your daily experience.

Then, when a larger need arises, You will already be in practice and – most importantly – used to trusting what You’re hearing.

Let’s finish looking at the song: “And Your words that help and heal, As Myself You do reveal.”

As You are turning to the Holy Spirit asking what to say and do throughout Your day, You get the help and healing that You need.  And it is most important to realize that the Voice that You are hearing is You – the Real You – the You of God.  This is the whole aim of the Course: to bring You back into Your Right Mind.  And the Holy Spirit is Your Right Mind.

And the Love and Unity You feel brings such Peace and Happiness.

GUIDANCE ON ANXIETY AND PANIC Please speak to us of Anxiety and Panic Attacks. ~*~ This is a wonderful topic.  I am delighted to speak to the healing of these two painful problems. Let Us start by clearly stating that all forms of fear belong wholly to the dream.  They have no place at all as Reality. When You All chose so long ago to stay within the dream, fear sprung up immediately because You had turned Your backs on Love.  They cannot coexist.  Thus fear became the hallmark of the dream.  Dimly remembering that Love has no fear at all, special relationships became Your goal, in the hopes of alleviating fear.  Obviously that didn’t work, and fear continued to grow, springing from loveless ground. Once psychiatry was invented, fear garnered many names and diagnoses, yet fear they are and fear they do remain. Yet two constants all names and types of fear do have.  They exist solely in the dream.  At Home where All is Love, there is no concept for fear at all except in the memory of the rage and fear of the separated Ones. So whether fear is named as schizophrenia or autism, bi-polar or anxiety, claustrophobia or panic attacks, it hardly matters the name, for all are the direct result of trying to exist within the dream, alone, apart from God and from Yourself, the Holy Spirit. Very simply, anxiety is fear that cannot be contained and so becomes a constant companion.  The cure is simple indeed, needing determined persistence.  Turn immediately to the Holy Spirit (or Your Guide), asking the Holy Spirit to take over and to tell you what is really True.  Done consistently – realizing that the Holy Spirit is Your Right Mind - anxiety will find no-where to go.   Consistence is the key word. Two things cannot really dwell in one place for one alone is Real.  And the healing is two-fold, for as You let the Holy Spirit Be You not only has anxiety flown, but You are now coming back into Your Right Mind. Maybe You would like Me to tell You how to manage fear successfully within the dream, eschewing the radical step of Awakening.  I will do that, yet rarely will it last; the self-centeredness of the dream makes it hard to live as Love. Panic attacks are stuffed-down anxiety that manages to pop up with a vengeance.  Is not the cure the same?   A mind that lives as Love, focused well on God, finds aught to fear.  If You can stay as that Love, You find Yourself so full with Happiness. Dear beloved Brothers and dear beloved Sisters, all My words of Love for You have but one focus: Your glad return to Home.  Why stay frightened, all alone, and in pain when Love and Peace and Joy await You?  Loneliness is gone forever in the sweet embrace of a Family that has longed for Your glad return.  And how about Life that’s problem-free; Infinitely interesting living Life as We instead of ‘Me’.  Such dear companions, and each relationship is Holy. And perhaps You have forgotten just how much fun it is, teleporting through the Universe, and with no fear of falling!  How light and beautiful it feels to Spirit Be. GUIDANCE ON EASTER and the RESURRECTION LESSON 69 [Words from A Course in Miracles-original edition are Bold and Gold ] It has been said that every Sunday is a little Easter.  And I am going to bring Easter much more present than that statement.  The Truth is that every instant is a potential Holy Instant – or full-blown Easter.  Your Resurrection or Awakening is present with You – as You – at this very moment, quietly, expectantly, waiting for Your willingness.  That’s very simple, isn’t it?  Sounds too simple.  I must be Someone special since You don’t know of another example of Resurrection, although You may have heard there are Others, living off in the Himalayan mountains, but They’re special too. Well what have I said to You when discussing the Miracle Principles?  Every One of You is special, priceless and precious to God.  And I will again quote Saint Augustine: God loves Each One of Us as if there were only One of Us.  That makes You – All of You – the “only begotten Son”, just as I am. And so, how is it that Your Resurrection/Awakening is right now present, not just with You, but as You? … … It’s the Holy Spirit!  It’s Your True Mind.  Today We are working with Lesson 69, although I could excerpt from any of the Lessons, We will use where We are today. You have, for the most part, heretofore, thought of Resurrection as something happening to the body.  Well it is not.  It is a transformation of the mind, from little m mind to capital M Mind; from the ego state of thought to the Holy Spirit’s Knowing. Think of your mind – and the mind We are looking to reach is the Mind You know – or have heard of and which is now being described – as a vast round area, – as the Holy Spirit, hidden from view, – surrounded by – where You are abiding now, which is almost always the limited ego sense of mind, that here in this lesson, is being visually described as – a layer of heavy dark clouds. You can see only the clouds because you seem to be standing outside the whole area, and quite apart from it.  So seems the Holy Spirit to You, as not a part of You but something separate, mystical and magical, and far more than You could ever be. And so – From where you stand, you can see no reason to believe there is a brilliant light hidden by the clouds. The clouds seem to be the only reality. Just as ego thinking seems to be Your only mind.  They seem to be all there is to see. And so You do not realize how much there is to You and how very marvelous You are.  Therefore you do not attempt to go through them and past them, which is the only way in which you would be really convinced of their lack of substance.  – for cloudy doubtful thoughts are so often what and how You think You are. So You need encouragement, and this is what I give You now. We will make this attempt today.  This effort will not be half-hearted but joyous and enthusiastic! This is how I approached My Resurrection: with great joy and enthusiasm.  The certainty of God as all Reality – and therefore, My Consciousness – shone as blazing Light, keeping Me from slipping into the human dream of anger, fear, and crucifixion, all clamoring for My attention.  I lived – and still do – the glorious words to God from Isaiah 26:3: “Thou wilt keep Him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on Thee.” And He is keeping You in perfect peace too, as You stay Your mind on Him. This is Your Resurrection and Your Awakening.  Your Easter Joy. Where, You may be thinking of Yourself, is My crucifixion?  There is no crucifixion for You.  Only the ego sense feels crucified because it has been crucifying You for eons.  Is it not time to accept Your freedom? As the moon retires in the light of the sun, let Us together retire crucifixion in Light of Resurrection.  The true retirement of crucifixion is the Awakening which brings the disappearance of the ego.  And the ego sense is all that will disappear in the Resurrection of Awakening.  Where You thought a painful and a troubled world abided so clearly will it be seen that the Kingdom of Heaven has been here all along. Feel My Love for All of You, as I rejoice in Your Resurrection.  For what is Resurrection but Your dwelling once again as Your rightful place: the Holy Spirit and You as a joyous One, the Belovèd Son of God You are, and have always been, despite the endless, troubled dreams that hid Yourself from You.  Our Father waits with joyous expectation for Your glad return. All that’s asked is that little willingness for miracles abound, and Your glad Homecoming encourages all the sleeping Sons of God to waken and make the journey with You, the journey without distance, as Heaven waits for You right here and now. You have long confused Heaven with the dream of dying.  This could not be farther from the Truth.  Heaven is the true experience of Life Awake instead of life asleep.  For the two experiences are both at hand, right where You are.  You have chosen dreaming for so long, there hadn’t seemed to be another choice.  And so I’m here to offer You a far, far better sense of Life than dreaming endless, fitful dreams that You perceive as lifetimes. How real is Your sleeping dream?  The waking one is no more true.  Your Resurrection, just like Mine, is from the unreal to the Real.  Nowhere to actually go, it’s just a simple change of Mind from Me to We.  From separation and loneliness to inclusion and a Love and safety long forgotten.  And yet this Love has not forgotten You.  You will not lose Your loved Ones for They will come along with You, inspired by Your Joy. Let me recognize my problems have been solved.

Thinking is the problem.  We have this thought and We think it’s from ‘out there’ (i.e. not in Our mind, or as Our mind, as consciousness) and therefore, We accept it as being real, when it is only a figment of Our imagination, including everything that’s happened in Japan.  And so the thinking makes it real: i.e. there is nothing good or bad but THINKING MAKES IT. So?  What shall We choose?  Our thinking, or the Reality of God which has only Good for All of Us? As the realm of ‘good or bad’ the dream, THINKING is Creator rather than Real God.  And so THINKING becomes Our God, and We listen to it implicitly, trusting all Our thoughts with the trust that should, instead, be given to the Holy Spirit Who waits patiently to free Us from the prison of Our own making. How is this prison built but by thought on top of thought, added to more thought, until Reality is totally obscured.  This is separation, and it’s all there is to it.  There is no drama along with it, nor to the undoing.  You do not to have to take each thought that built the dream as if it were a wall of bricks, taken down, one by one.  No, simply be willing to disregard Your thinking, starting now.  Keep Your mind open to Me and the prison house You’ve built will be dismantled as You remain steadfast against the thinking, which shows up as fears, desires, and opinions, none of which are worth Your time or Your attention.  Guidance on The Forgotten Song

GUIDANCE ON THE FORGOTTEN SONG   THE FORGOTTEN SONG [Words from A Course in Miracles-original edition are bolded]   Listen, and try to think if you remember what we will speak of now.  Listen.  Let Us go together, beyond trying.  Let Us, together, slow down the ego mind in its frantic efforts to secure its safety – and remember, its safety is not Yours.  Yours is your Love, the experience spoken of here, that is so beautiful and so very far beyond the ego’s ken of selfishness as saviour. Allow the stillness to flow through Your mind; and Your mind it is, despite the eons of ego domination, Your dominion remains, waiting to be exercised. … … … If You have yet to realize this, let Us take some moments – truly some Holy Instants – to think of it now together.  What am I asking You to remember but an eternal state of Freedom that has always been Yours, and always will be.  And yet this Freedom is not found in doing as You please, exercising Your ‘rights’ and trampling Others.  Nothing could be further from the Truth than that.  Yet that is how the ego operates: its only goal is me, me, me.  Those are the lyrics and the metre of its song. That selfishness is not the song We’re listening for. So, again, I ask You: Clear Your mind of the incessant ego wants and fears, its ceaseless demanding of its dominance.  Just lay them gently to the side.  It will be easy enough to pick them up again, if You so desire.  And always it is My intention to free You from Your self-imposed imprisonment. And now, together, You and I, We will: Listen, not so much for words at first, but rather for a feeling, a sense that all is Peace, a Peace that passes all the understanding of the dream in which You are busily immersed.  And as You listen for that Peace – perhaps you catch a hint of an ancient state not quite forgotten; not so much forgotten, but ignored and, therefore,  so unused that You had completely forgotten Its existence.  It is dim, perhaps, and yet not altogether unfamiliar, – since Its Harmony is the nature of Your Be-ing, and yet It is – like a song whose name is long forgotten, and the circumstances in which you heard completely unremembered.  And why is this? You had to hide It from Yourself or the dream could never have been invented.  And now, and always, is the moment to think of It again.  So together We are remembering It and speaking of Its Beauty and Its Happiness with Joy. Not the whole song has stayed with you, – or You would be long ago Awake – there is but just a little wisp of melody, – like the fragrance of a rose inhaled long ago.  It is attached not to a person or a place or anything particular. But It is enough to make You pause and smile as you remember, from just this little part, just this precious suggestion of its notes, how lovely was the song – Its Beauty so breathtaking that the Joy is breaking through Your long shut heart – and although You cannot quite see it yet, the Place of Mind, of Love, where it exists, that You can now faintly feel, brings to consciousness how wonderful the setting where you heard it, and how you loved those who were there and listened with you.  It is the Love You’re feeling now, calling to You to recognize Its Presence here and now. As I’ve said before to You: Somewhere You remember Who and What You Are, although the ego has imprisoned this joyous memory behind so many lifetimes of purposeless self will, meaningless getting, with giving short-shifted.  And so, this little remainder, which has shown itself in a longing to Love and be Loved like that again, has been all You had left of Something so dear You would weep if You let Yourself realize just What a Treasure You have hidden from Yourself. And thanks to a shred of Your Sanity, (the Whole of which is kept safe and intact by the Love of the Holy Spirit, Your True Self), and although it seems that The notes are nothing by themselves for You know not how to bring the Song to mind, they are important to You. Yet you have kept them with you, not for themselves, but as a soft reminder of what would make you weep if you remembered how dear it was to you.  And weep You do, silently and tearlessly, for the happiness and Love that You so carelessly cast away.  The weeping does not come in tears, but shows itself as sickness, sin and death, the concomitants of the seeming endless dreams in which You insistently cling to as if they were Reality Itself.  You know they’re not.  Somewhere within You know that You are really Life and Love and Good. And that is what You are that is so dear to You, and so it never can be lost.  It is Your Oneness known as God, Our Source, which – far above all else – is known as Love.  It is the experience of Be-ing Love Itself, a You so beautiful and cherished and essential to All Creation that It is beyond description and only can be known when felt as Consciousness.  Once You allow Yourself to feel It in the dream, Awakening becomes necessity. You could remember, yet you are afraid, believing you would lose the world you learned since then. The world You taught Yourself, for never did Our Father-Mother Source of Love bring forth a world so loveless, dark and painful for so many.  God’s Universe is bright with Love expressed as His Ideas of Light of which You are the most important One, along with every other One.  We All are precious to the Love that makes Us.  And each One of Us is precious to All of Us.  Do You remember what it’s like to be loved like that?  Somewhere You do.  And so You struggle to somehow feel that Love within the dream world You have made.  And yet you know that nothing in the world you learned is half so dear as this.  And so You age, You sicken, and You die – You the Eternal, perfect Son of God – consumed by buried disappointment that nothing turned out the way You thought it would when it seemed like such a clever idea to turn Your back on God to go it on Your own.  And now the path that leads back Home is long grown over, and the ego gives its assurance that never would the Father take You back after such a big transgression.  And none of it is True, not one word, for the Father’s Name and Nature both are Love.  And what is True of Him is also True of You. So come and stay close by Me, take My hand; and as We walk Together through Your day:  Listen, – and what is Listening to Me but the silencing of incessant thinking, the quieting of the ego’s chattering voice so You can better hear the beauty of the music and the words of Love.  Again, let Us together Listen and see if you remember an ancient song you knew so long ago, and held more dear than any melody you taught yourself to cherish since. Beyond the body, beyond the sun and stars, past everything you see and yet somehow familiar, is an arc of golden light that stretches as you look into a great and shining circle.  All of this Happiness stands waiting joyously for Your return.  And ‘re-turn’ it literally is.  You’d turned Your back on Love and Life, oh so long ago.  And now Your willingness to turn again and face Heaven instead of hell brings Us All great joy. And all the circle fills with light before your eyes. What is this Light with which the circle fills but the Fullness of Reality.  Infinite Ideas of God, All of Us exquisite Light, gentle Love, vibrant Life.  Ideas come streaming from everywhere to witness and support Your glad re-turn.  Can You see how very simple it is?  The shifting of direction from ‘Me’ to ‘We’ – all the loving Ideas that You had shut out when choosing for the ego dream.  We’ve longed for All of You Who dream to remember All the Rest of You again.  And now the importance of forgiveness comes front and center, for when Your Brother or Your Sister is forgiven for what They didn’t do, so do You see forgiveness radiate to You.  The edges of the circle disappear, and what is in it is no longer contained at all. The light expands and covers everything, extending to infinity forever shining, and with no break or limit anywhere.  You understand that never did You sin, only Good is True.  Within it everything is joined in perfect continuity. Nor is it possible to imagine that anything could be outside, for there is nowhere that this light is not. …  Not only are You loved beyond all present understanding, but also You are intrinsic to that Love, which needs You to be complete.   And now the blind can see, – opened are Your eyes – for that same song they (You) sing in honor of their Creator gives praise to them as well. Opened You are as the words and the feelings of Love spill forth, breathing, remembering Joy once again.  Vision has cleared and the Beauty of You opens your eyes even wider.  The blindness which they (You) made will not withstand the memory of this song. And they (You) will look upon the vision of the Son of God, remembering who he is – and Who You are – that You and they sing of.  And You are that Love.  You had forgotten what it felt like, to Be Love; that it isn’t something lost that must be somehow found, You knew not where and searched for It in the most unlikely places. And now You know that It is What You Are. What is a miracle but this remembering? And who is there in whom this memory lies not? And with the memory comes the realization, illumining Your mind: I am that Love that I was looking for everywhere but here.  The light in one – the Love You Are – awakens it in all. Guidance on Love & Relationship

TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: Reja wondered if You would speak of Love [and Relationship] for the Newsletter. ~*~ I am always speaking to Love, although My words may seem to address many, many other topics.  Love is the Father’s Name because It is His Nature.  Therefore, It is the Nature of all Reality, and of All of the Family of God, whether Awake or dreaming.  We Who are Awake are the Presence of Love with ease.  And You can feel It from Me. Love is what enabled Me to stand and heal, hour after hour, the Multitudes Who came to Me.  And I speak not only of My healing work.  It is because each One of You is the very Presence of Love, that the ills and so-called sins can be healed.  Where You see Yourselves as little, sickly and sinful ‘mortals’, I see You in all your radiant Beauty!  And radiantly beautiful You are, if You could but see Yourselves.  Paraphrasing Robert Burns: Oh the power that giftie gie You, to see Yourselves as I see You. It is not just that You are the Presence of Light.  It is the Love that each One of You uniquely expresses with such Grace and Beauty. Why do You not see it and experience Yourselves and Each Other that way?  Ah, such a good question.  Because the expression of Love has become quite secondary to the demands of the ego mindset.  It has been replaced by the desire for control, which takes many forms: the lust for money, things, sex, power, et cetera; the accumulation of what You think will give You the most control over Others and your world.  It isn’t pretty. And it comes down to My favorite theme song, which is the thrust of all the Lessons, although You may not have realized it.  Those Awake exist to Give.  Those asleep exist to get.  And so, when You read My words: “Nothing I see means anything.” – the reason it means nothing is because You see it only for what it can or cannot do for You.  And, as in today’s Lesson: “Above all, I am determined to see differently!” You are really asking to see your real relationship with the object of your vision.  And You are becoming willing to have a different relationship with Who or What You are viewing, for truly All is Holy. And in that willingness, You are opening your hearts and minds to see as I see, which means to begin to Love as I Love.  If You but knew what You were missing, You would spend your days asking for this Vision, for it is glorious.  The happiness of this Love that is the Father-Mother’s is priceless and beyond compare.  Its sweetness and Its joy is what You are looking for in every encounter You have with Every One and everything.  It is the joy that comes from knowing that You are dearly and eternally Loved and that all is always well. For Those of You Who are working with the Lessons, this year, let them be for learning Love.  Every one of them holds the promise of this Gift, which is what I came to give You.  And I will be with You until You learn It, for We are as Teacher and as Pupil.  And as You learn It, You learn that We are truly One, and equal, and that My direction has already given – and will forever – giveYou Peace. Now there has been a request for Me to bring this to the practical, the nitty-gritty of your daily experience.  You know that your relationship with Me is Holy, safe, and secure forever.  What about those other relationships, the ones with Partners, Children, Parents, Bosses, Co-Workers, taxi Drivers, retail Workers, your fellow Dreamers?  Let’s go to today’s Lesson.  It is perfect. God is in everything I see.  God is in everything I see.  And not just every Thing, but every One.  This is the key to both happy and Holy relationships: that All is/are entitled to your Love and your respect because God is Its/Their Source.  You have been, for so long, the center of the universe of your small, and quite confused mind, that it is hard to give this respect anywhere else, and yet it is absolutely crucial unless You wish to dwell in the realm of trying special relationships indefinitely.  Perhaps You have, by now, had enough of them?  Now the ego will tell You that this is the only framework there is for relationships.  And You have believed it for what seems like eternity.  I am opening the door for You to an experience of Love – right here and now – that is vastly different.  And for It You only need to change your thought. Try then today to begin to learn how to look on all things with love, appreciation, and open-mindedness.  There is that Partner, Child, Parent, Boss, Who is being so difficult.  How do You Love Them?  How do You appreciate such thoughtless, bad behavior?  The secret is no secret: You open your mind to Me and to the Holy Spirit.  And You ask for help.  Brother, Holy Spirit, show Me how You see this One.  Teach Me of Your Love.  How can You be so patient, tender, kind?  How can I be so patient, tender, kind as You?  Allow Me to be your mind, your vision.  This makes no less of You, for I simply open wide the door to the Holy Spirit which is really You.  Together We shift the focus from the One Who is so difficult and ask within how We may best Love this One.  What can We say to heal Their discontent?  How can We see beyond this to the Christ They are?  And the Christ They are indeed, although: You do not see them now.   The eyes of the world are blind, and so: Would you know what is in them? Nothing is as it appears to you.  If You can but accept this, and ask humbly for Our help, the healing of your mind will happily begin.  The desire among Course Students is to have a Holy relationship instead of a special one.  As I said this morning, the only way to have a Holy relationship is to change your reason for being here; in other words, to be born anew.  When I said those words to Nicodemus 2000 years ago- indeed, when I say “2000 years ago”, it is like You saying “yesterday”- When I told Nicodemus that He needed to be “born anew of water and of Spirit”, I was reminding Him of the words in Isaiah: “Wash You; make You clean.”  And, of course, I was referring to a renewing of the mind.  As Paul says in Philippians, to have the Mind that I am. Every One caught in the dream is dreaming to please Themselves.  That is being for getting, not giving.  And that is a special relationship.  Where is the Holiness in selfishness?  And I am not condemning You; I am instead suggesting a shift of being.  You can easily see that One is in a relationship to get something, whether obvious or not.  Without delving far into human psychology, an example of this is One Who feels Themselves to be a victim or an aggressor, and has a relationship that validates this feeling.  The satisfaction comes in the validation of the belief; however, the relationship certainly suffers. And yet – at any moment – there could be that amazing change of mind back to Love, the game can cease, and Something entirely new and beautiful will spring up. Its - whether that of You, your Partner, a table, an apple – holy purpose stands beyond your little range.  Beyond your narrow view, yet right at hand.  And It’s ever available to You.  The glorious Holiness of the Son of God.
