LESSON FIFTY SIX

Lesson 26 – Lesson 30
1 Our review for today covers the following:
[26] My attack thoughts are attacking my invulnerability. For they make Me feel I need to defend myself against some nameless enemy; for there is danger.
2 How can I know who I am when I see myself as under constant attack? Pain, illness, loss, age, and death seem to threaten me. The horrid, painful ‘human condition’, which is inhumane! All my hopes and wishes and plans appear to be at the mercy of a world I cannot control. How can I feel safe? Yet perfect security and complete fulfillment are my inheritance. A permanent, intrinsic part of Me. I have tried to give my inheritance away in exchange for the world I see. But God has kept my inheritance safe for me. Has there ever been any Love near to that within the dream? My own real thoughts will teach me what it is.
[27] Above all else I want to see. For M True Vision is Reality
3 Recognizing that what I see reflects what I think I am, I realize that vision is my greatest need. Let’s go over this again: the way I see makes up my so-called reality. The world I see attests to the fearful nature of the self-image I have made. A struggling mortal. Why I’m not this! You’ve taught Me differently dear Elder Brother. If I would remember who I am, it is essential that I let this image of myself go. It’s one experience or the other: I am the Son of God or a mortal. Which on shall it be? As it is replaced by truth, vision will surely be given me. And with this vision, I will look upon the world and upon myself with charity and love.
[28] Above all else I want to see differently. And not just Others but My Self as well.
4 The world I see holds my fearful self-image in place, and guarantees its continuance. And I do not know how to let it go. While I see the world as I see it now, truth cannot enter my awareness. Except I become undefended, which sometimes happens spontaneously. I can’t control it, and I wish I could. I would let the door behind this world be opened for me that I may look past it to the world that reflects the Love of God. For everything I see is superficial, overlaying God’s Reality.
[29] God is in everything I see. For God’s Universe is simply hidden behind My own take on Reality.
5 Behind every image I have made, the truth remains unchanged. My foolish imagination cannot really touch upon God’s Reality; it only hides it. Behind every veil I have drawn across the face of love, its light remains undimmed. This leaves Me breathless. We’re so very loved. Beyond all my insane wishes is my will united with the Will of my Father. No matter what, no matter where, no matter when, no matter who, there’s been no real separation and God and I are One. God is still everywhere and in everything forever. And we who are part of Him will yet look past all appearances and recognize the truth beyond them all. Let Us be willing to attempt this now.
[30] God is in everything I see because God is in my mind. And so is every single thing that I could ever see throughout Eternity.
Fact: Everything is mind. Period.
